NCIS has stirred up some disappointment among its fans with its recent announcement regarding the future episodes of Season 20. After the milestone 450th episode aired on Monday, February 27th, the CBS drama disclosed a two-week hiatus, leaving viewers without a new episode until March 13th.

The show’s official Twitter account marked the occasion with a post, saying, “That’s a wrap on the 450th episode of #NCIS!” but assured fans, “Don’t worry, we’ll be back with another brand-new episode in two weeks. See you later!”

Fans voiced their displeasure in the comments section, expressing frustration with statements like, “Two weeks, really?” and “Watching every other week is getting old.”

A third person criticized the scheduling, noting, “Yeah, your schedule stinks. One episode one week, two weeks later, and two weeks later. That’s why I stopped watching on Monday.”

CBS has renewed both NCIS and its spin-off, NCIS: Hawai’i, with the flagship drama returning for its 21st season and the Hawai’i spin-off for its third. Vanessa Lachey, who resides on the island with her husband and three children, celebrated the news on Instagram with a post featuring a video montage of clips and pictures from the set, captioned, “SEASON 3!!! Thank you for tuning in each week and supporting our show. I can’t wait to return as Jane Tennant with my @ncishawaiicbs…… ohana! #NCISHawaii.”

Regrettably, NCIS: Los Angeles won’t be joining the other shows in their return. CBS announced that the spin-off would conclude after 14 seasons, with the final episode slated to air on May 14th this year.

In response to the news, star Eric Christian Olsen posted a photo of one of his cast members walking through a dramatic-looking tunnel on social media with the caption, “What a spectacular journey we all shared.”
