In “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” directed by James Wan, Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Ocean Master (Patrick Wilson) join forces to battle Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). Wan compares the film to the buddy comedy “Tango & Cash” (1989) and envisions both Aquaman movies as a seamless back-to-back experience. Despite their previous rivalry, Momoa and Wilson’s characters will work together to stop Manta from ending the family’s bloodline. Wan designed the films for binge-watching, and he highlights the chemistry between Momoa and Wilson. “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is set to be released on December 20.
