The ensemble for the highly anticipated NCIS spin-off, NCIS: Sydney, has been unveiled, featuring some familiar faces. Today, the cast of the upcoming series NCIS: Sydney was announced, with a blend of Australian talent joining the ranks of the beloved TV crime franchise.

The show will center around “a team of U.S. NCIS Agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) grafted into a multinational taskforce to keep naval crimes in check, in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet.”

NCIS: Sydney joins the ranks of other successful shows within the NCIS franchise, including Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Hawaii.

At the forefront of the NCIS: Sydney cast are English actress Olivia Swann and former Home And Away star Todd Lasance, taking on the roles of NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey and her AFP counterpart, Sergeant Jim “JD” Dempsey.

Completing the ensemble are Sean Sagar as NCIS Special Agent DeShawn Jackson, Tuuli Narkle as AFP Liaison Officer Constable Evie Cooper, Mavournee Hazel as AFP Forensic Scientist Bluebird ‘Blue’ Gleeson, and William McInnes as AFP Forensic Pathologist Dr Roy Penrose.

NCIS, in its 20th year on air, originated as a spin-off from the American courtroom drama JAG in 2003. The original cast featured Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, and Sasha Alexander. Over the years, the cast has seen various changes, including the recent exit of Harmon as a regular lead, replaced by Gary Cole in the current season. David McCallum remains the only original cast member as Ducky.

NCIS: Los Angeles was the first spin-off in 2009, followed by NCIS: New Orleans in 2014 with Scott Bakula, and NCIS: Hawaii in 2021 with Vanessa Lachey.
